Florida Sweet Cherry (Malpighia emarginata)

The Florida Sweet Cherry is grown best when planted in well drained soils in warm climates. Once fully grown, the bush can be approximately 20 feet tall and harvested three to five times from April through summer.

Some great uses for the fruit are making it into juice, jams, jellies, pies, sherbet and wine; it is very high in vitamin C.
